A BUDDING teenage actress has won the chance to learn her craft with the country's top talent.

Rosalind Earl, 16, of Belmont, Durham, is one of 180 youngsters chosen to attend a three-week National Youth Theatre workshop in August. She will learn various skills connected with performing and will have the chance to audition for NYT shows.

Rosalind has performed in productions by the Durham County Youth Company and Durham Amateur Operatic Society.

"I could have gone to workshops in July but I'm due to play the Wicked Witch of the West in the youth company's production of Wizard of Oz and I didn't want to drop them in it."

Rosalind is appealing for sponsorship to help cover the course. Anyone who can help should call her on (0191) 3849525.
