PARENTS are being urged to teach their children the dangers of electricity after youngsters were seen fooling around at a substation.
Police were called to the substation in the car park of MFI, in Russell Street, Darlington, on Sunday night, where the four youngsters were playing.
When officers arrived there was nobody about, but the incident has sparked a warning from Inspector Ian Coates, of Darlington police,
"We can't over-state the danger of anybody getting into a substation if they don't know what they are doing."
