Marske openers Stewart Hutton and Adam Pattison survived a ferocious opening spell from Hendy Brya and Alex Roberts.

The pressure was kept on the home batsmen by Martin Balls, James Beaumont and Leigh Beaumont.

Stewart Hutton found some valuable batting practice throughout the innings and ended on 74 not out.

Robin Waler scored 29 runs in the closing overs to give Marske maximum batting points for the first time this season.

Richard Storr was drop-ped on four and England U15 player James Beaumont put on 111 for their first wicket.

With the overs drifting by Middlesbrough tried to raise their run rate.

Marske bowlers cashed in on the situation with the fielders producing their best performance of the season.

The visitors' final wicket fell with one over remaining to give Marske a valuable 20 points.
