BRIAN Potts and Jim Allenby both hit top form in Durham City's 103-runs victory at home to Sunder-land in the U17 division of the Durham Senior League.

Potts top-scored with 59 and Allenby added 52 to City's 168-6, and Sunderland were all out for 65 as Potts took 2-6 in four overs and Graeme Wright returned 3-6 from two overs.

Durham City lost by nine wickets when they visited Gates-head Fell for a Durham Senior League U15 division match.

Amin Dhinsa and James Costello both took two wickets as City managed just 59-5 before Jonathan Foster carried his bat for 34.

Chester-le-Street lost by an even bigger margin at Horden for whom Carl Watson hit 10 sixes and 16 fours in a magnificent innings of 147 compiled in only 19.4 overs.
