STAFF at a leading department store came out from behind the counter to cement their place in history.
More than 100 employees at Barkers, in Northallerton, were snapped on film in a photograph to celebrate the store's 125th anniversary.
The picture will go on display at the High Street store, as well as the furniture store on Yafforth Road, with staff also able to get their own copies.
Managing director Charles Barker said: "We have never had a picture of everybody together over the 125 years and we felt that, because it was such a special year, we should have one.
"It has been greeted with such enthusiasm that staff came in on their day off to appear on it."
