THE sound of bells has inspired an audio-visual art installation at Durham Cathedral.
Bellring was created by composer Ron Geesin and video artist Ian Breakwell and is being performed in a marquee in the cathedral's cloisters.
The piece was inspired by a residency the pair had at the cathedral in the 1990s, during which they explored the world of bell ringing.
Bellring will be at the cathedral until Sunday, August 6.
