Stunning images of Stockton are to go on display at the town's Green Dragon Museum.

Headlining the exhibition will be a collection of photographs of the area by Lord Lichfield.

The views were taken as part of a Stockton City Challenge project in 1995, and the collection will include the "missing Lichfields" that did not feature in the 1996 City Challenge calendar of Stockton.

Lord Lichfield's pictures will be on display from next Thursday, and visitors will be able to compare his images of Stockton with photographs taken during this year's International Riverside Festival.

The annual Shutterbugs event gives visitors the opportunity to record festival events with a single-use camera.

The images taken as part of this event will go on display in the museum with Lord Lichfield's.

To suit the needs of festival-goers, opening hours at the museum are changing for the next couple of weeks.

On Sunday, the museum and information centre will be open from 11am to 7pm, during the mammoth Party in the Park, which means the exhibition of photography by Edward Weston will be extended by one day.

The museum and information centre are also open until 7pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 11am to 5pm next Sunday, August 6.
