A BRASS band has issued an urgent appeal for volunteers to take part in a musical experiment.
Tutor Andrew Dalby, of Bedale brass band, aims to prove that anyone can learn to play a brass instrument well enough in a few hours to be able to join a musical ensemble.
He said: "People with no prior musical experience or knowledge are especially welcome, as are children and adults of all ages."
The exercise will begin with a session at Aiskew chapel hall on Saturday, September 2, from 1pm to 5pm.
