A NEW bench has been unveiled in Darlington by the Mayor of the borough, Councillor Dorothy Long.
Coun Long unveiled the bench in the town's Stanhope Park on Saturday.
The Victorian-style metal bench, which can seat up to six people, was bought for £500 by The Friends of Stanhope Park.
The group was set up two years ago to improve the facilities in the park, which had suffered from vandalism.
