Games

The qualifying stages for the singles championships were held at Crook Belle Vue for the darts, dominoes and pool sections. Four players came through to qualify in the darts and pool with eight going through to the dominoes finals.

The darts qualifiers were Ronnie McAloon of Byers Green, Ray Scott of Middlestone Moor and Paul Knighton and Jeff Sneath both of Crook Belle Vue.

The qualifiers in the pool section were Peter race of Cockton Hill, Steve Webster and Steve Wray of Ferryhill, with either Tony Leighton or Mark Kitching of Oakenshaw.

The dominoes qualifiers were George Harris and Billy Cooper of Ferryhill, Bobby Allinson and Jim Pearson of Chilton, Jim Madgin of Crowtrees, Kenny Smith of Crook Belle Vue, Alan Lithgo of Cockton Hill and Steve Nelson of Willington.

The finals will be played at Crook Belle Vue on Tuesday, November 14.

Willington Ladies League

Willington Club whitewashed their hosts at the Black Horse A to move three points clear of the prospect Club in the darts section. The Prospect are nine points ahead of the third placed Quarry Burn A.

Hunwick Joiners Arms moved to within one point of Willington Club in the dominoes section and have a match in hand. The Market and the Black Horse A, both one point behind the Joiners Arms, share third place.
