A MAN who suffered head and internal injuries after his car left the road and hit a tree remained in a critical condition in hospital last night.
The 59-year-old man, from the Newcastle area, who has not been named by police, was hurt following an accident on the C37 road at Bishopton, near Darlington, on Thursday morning.
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the accident, which happened near Bog Hall Farm.
