A 31-YEAR-OLD man from was fighting for his life in hospital last night after an accident on Thursday.
Graham Macey, of Frances Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire, was walking back to a car which had broken down on the road to Brompton-on-Swale when he was hit by a passing Land Rover.
He was taken to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, with serious injuries where his condition was described last night as "grave".
Police hope to trace anyone who may have seen Mr Macey walking along the road near the Easby junction just before the accident at about 5pm on Thursday.
