THE Mayor of Durham George Wharton received a £500 cheque on Friday for his appeal for a conservation group dedicated to saving butterflies, named Chase the Butterfly. The funds were raised by Durham charity collectors over Christmas from public donations at Prince Bishops shopping centre, Durham City.
