RESIDENTS and visitors to a seaside town are being asked not to feed the birds - because of the mess they are making.
The mess left by the pigeons is causing all sorts of trouble for the residents of Saltburn, and parish councillors believe it is making a mess of the town, of which everyone takes great pride in its appearance.
Pigeons' mess was discussed again at a meeting of Saltburn, Marske and New Marske Parish Council on Monday. Councillors made another plea to residents not to feed the birds as it encourages them into the town centre.
