TWO brave women took the plunge this weekend in a bid to raise cash for charity.
Elizabeth Glover and Charlotte Lacey, from York, faced up to their fears and took part in a tandem skydive to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses.
The brave duo jumped from 10,000ft for the skydive, which they both admitted was one of the most terrifying things they have done.
Elizabeth, 22, who works in marketing and communication, said: "It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I started to panic beforehand.
"It would be a waste of time to do something as mad as this and for a charity not to benefit from it."
Charlotte, who works at an opticians, lost her mother to cancer and was keen to help the charity, which supports and cares for people with the disease
