A COUNCIL is offering people the opportunity to voice their concerns.

People in Murton, Seaham, South Hetton, Dalton-le-Dale and Seaton will be able to have their say when Easington District Council holds its North area forum in Murton on Wednesday, May 30.

A council spokeswoman said: "Residents and representatives of organisations are invited to the North area forum to raise issues of local importance and concern.

"The forum has been set up to ensure people are better informed about the way their council services are run and to allow them to get involved in the decision-making process."

The forum will be held at Murton County Primary School, Watt Street, Murton, starting at 6pm.

Items can be raised verbally at the meeting or placed on the agenda by writing in advance.

Agenda items should be submitted before Friday, May 18, by writing to the council's Democratic Services and Administration unit, Council Offices, Seaside Lane, Easington, SR8 3TN
