OFFICIALS at the region's premier rugby side helped to mark the sporting success of more than 80 college youngsters.
Darlington's Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College welcomed Newcastle Falcons chief executive John Parkinson and chief coach Steve Bates for the ceremony.
Presentations included awards to the boys' swimming team who became national champions in the medley relay at a meeting in Crystal Palace. The team are: Michael Dowson, Matthew Bowden, Luke Monument and Murray Goodrick.
Individual awards made to students included European karate champion Amanda Allsley, and British Muay Thai boxing champion Craig Shaw, and a number of other international competitors.
