THE Millennium Commission has launched a CD-Rom to record the millennium legacy in the North-East.
Libraries, schools, local authorities and business will receive a free copy of the CD.
It will sum up the legacy of new visitor centres such as Life Interactive World in Newcastle, environmental projects such as Turning the Tide ,which has restored the Durham coastline and schemes such as the Coalfields Community Spirit Millennium Awards Scheme, all created with National Lottery money distributed by the Millennium Commission.
Commission chairman Chris Smith said: "It is important that these initiatives are recorded so that future generations can see what our generation did at the turn of the millennium."
