MORE than 800 pupils and staff were forced to evacuate a school after arsonists struck.
Two classrooms were destroyed at King George Comprehensive, at South Shields, South Tyneside.
The fire was started in an art room at about 2pm on Tuesday. Police started an investigation yesterday after it was established as arson. Anyone with any information is asked to call them on 0191-454 7555.
