Darlington 21st Allstars - The Under-12 Colts were in Alternative Cup semi-final action at Teesside Athletic and it turned out to be a titanic struggle.

After going a goal down, Lewis Franklin notched an equaliser and the score remained at 1-1 through to full time. The first period of extra time saw Nicky Fox grab a second Colts' goal with the home side unable to score again, leaving Allstars 2-1 winners and looking forward to the Alternative Cup Final on May 20. Man of the match was Matthew Readshaw.

The Under-15s were also in Alternative Cup semi-final action at home to Grangetown YCC and progressed to the final via a well deserved 4-2 victory. Both Adam Wilson and man of the match Paul Burrows got a brace of goals and amazingly all four Allstars goals were headers. Earlier in the week the Under-15s' topsy-turvy league season continued with a 5-2 defeat at Clavering Park. Allstars never really got going in this match although both Scott Hodgson and Burrows each managed a goal. Lee Harding was man of the match. The Under-11s took two more giant strides towards promotion from the Third Division with two League victories. First at Newton Aycliffe Youth, they finished up 5-1 victors, Freddie Huscroft getting two goals and Lee Mullis, Robbie Gardner and Jack Henderson one each. Stuart Adams was man of the match. Then in a home game against New Marske SC, the Under-11s continued their brilliant end-of-season form with a 4-1 win which leaves them needing one point for promotion. Huscroft helped himself to another brace of goals (making it 23 for the season), Henderson scored again (22 this season) and captain Sean Taylor scored his first goal for the club at 11-a-side level with a 35-yard screamer. Mark Cossins was man of the match. The Under-12s travelled to a midweek game against Newton Aycliffe Youth and had a tremendous start when Jonathan Vinton rounded the keeper and slotted in. Further pressure saw another goal from Vinton (17 for the season) and one from Kyle Swanlie (23 for the season) and a 3-0 lead at half time. The second half saw a resolute Allstars' defence and a further goal from Dale Sheridan the final score being 4-1. Man of the match was Matthew Sutton. The Under-17s were at home to top-of-the-table Park End Youth and lost 5-1 after giving as good as they got in the first half, the score at half time being 1-0. Daniel Wicking got the goal and Ben Jolly was man of the match.

The Under-13 Colts completed their season with a disappointing 8-3 defeat at AWS Catterick. Three-nil down early on, the Colts pulled back to 3-3 with two goals from Stephen Oliver (15 for the season) and Adam Yeadon. However, the second half saw them run out of steam.

The Under-13s played their penultimate league game, at high-flying South Bank, and lost 3-0 in a match where they hardly showed their improved form of recent games. Man of the match was Liam Francis.

In the Richmond Youth League the Under-11 Colts played at Richmond and came away with an 8-2 defeat. Tom Watson and Matty Phillips scored the goals and man of the match was Adam Shann.
