YOUNGSTERS in Stockton have been finding out how science can be fun.
Talented students from secondary schools across the town dropped in at Portrack Baptist church last Friday to get a taste of science in action.
Internationally-renowned scientist Mr Philip Rose, founder of Sci-Tech, performed a series of magical and amazing experiments to show pupils just how much fun technology could be.
Mr Rose has run many workshop sessions for gifted pupils and his expertise has been recognised by industrial and technological firms.
Stella Cutland, co-ordinator for Excellence in Cities, said: "Philip performed some quite spectacular experiments with materials the pupils had probably never even seen before.
"It was great to have been able to stage the event here in Stockton."
