The six-year-old, by Radway Madinka out of Meering Jade, took the tricolour after winning the 13-hands show hunter section and qualified for the Royal International in July.

The pony, produced by Claire and Peter Emmerson, was also a top winner the previous week at Ponies UK Scotland in Ayrshire.

The seven-year-old Moorhall Cats Whiskers by Moorhall Catnip, ridden by Anna Morton, took the 12.2 show pony section, while Becky Patterson travelled over from Ireland to secure second place in the 13.2 section and take reserve champion with the seven-year-old Highmead Set Free.

Millie Rose, ridden by Jessica Draper, was third in the 128cm section.

Mr Harforth also produced the supreme champion in-hand at Ponies UK Scotland with Dr Patricia Smith's two-year-old filly Colbeach Quartet taking the part-bred and riding pony in-hand championship.

Jonathan Stevens rode Dr Smith's four-year-old Meadowlands Best Man to take the mini-tricolour, first ridden and open 128cm ridden show pony.

Anna Morton rode Fairholme Rosetta's Rhapsody, by Willowbay Symphony, to take the confined novice tricolour and reserve part-bred champion and, at NCPA Staffordshire, South View won the large novice show pony.

The Patterson family had a reserve champion at Scotland with Starlyte Bright Emerald, while Hayley Patterson secured a Royal International ticket with Blue Habbit.
