A MAN arrested in Scotland in connection with the death of a North-East man has been brought to the region.
Freddie Knights, 38, was shot dead in front of his wife outside his mother's home last September in Longbenton, Newcastle.
The man arrested in Glasgow has been taken to a police station in the Northumberland area, where he will be questioned.
Police also confirmed that two men - one from Glasgow and the other from Seahouses, Northumberland - were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
One of the men has been bailed pending further inquiries, and the other is in police custody.
Detectives are still hunting two other men in connection with the inquiry.
