AN organisation has been formed to promote good relationships between bosses and workers.
The Employee Relations Forum was launched at the weekend by Trade and Industry Secretary Stephen Byers. It involves firms, organisations and trade unions, and aims to promote a "positive climate" of employee relations in the North-East.
Carol McCletchie, head of human resources at Nexus, the Tyne and Wear public transport executive, which is one of the members, said: "The North-East already enjoys a strong, skilled workforce, but we hope to add to that strength with pro-active initiatives and best practice.
"We also hope to raise the profile of those organisations with good employee relations, as well as encourage research, debate and opinion-forming."
