STUDENTS from across the region gathered at a North-East museum to mark the achievements of adult learners.
Dozens of students met at Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, County Durham, for the North-East Adult Learners' Awards.
The ceremony celebrates the efforts of adult learners who have achieved outstanding results.
The museum's director, Adrian Jenkins, said: "One of the themes of this year's Adult Learners' Week is culture, and May is also national Museums and Galleries month, so Bowes was the perfect place to hold it."
Award winners and their guests were treated to Spanish music and continental food provided by students from Bishop Auckland College.
