AN office move completed by a Newcastle business may have been just one small step for them, but it will be a giant leap for IT training in the region.
Taitec Newcastle, which offers training for both IT professionals and those thinking about making a career switch into IT, has expanded into new offices at Kingston House at the Kingston Park Centre in Newcastle.
It has only moved 50 yards from its former premises, but Graeme Trotter, who runs the company, is confident that its improved facilities will benefit those enrolling in future courses.
He said: "Our previous premises suited our initial needs, but now we have become more established we required more space to cope with the increased interest being shown in the type of training we provide."
Taitec had been operating for two years, and already scores of people have gained globally recognised IT qualifications.
Taitec offers a number of specialist courses in Microsoft Office 2000 leading to Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification.
Mr Trotter said: "All our training is arranged in a very flexible way to suit the specific requirements of our students in terms of their career development both in the short and long term."
