A MOTHER killed her baby by throwing her out of a window during a row with her boyfriend, the Old Bailey was told yesterday.
Helen Patterson, 23, of Rosewood Terrace, Newcastle, denied murdering ten-month-old Shedrina, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
Sir John Nutting QC, prosecuting, said the Crown had decided to accept the plea following reports from two psychiatrists, who said Patterson was suffering from depression and other problems.
Shedrina died after being thrown from the third floor window of a flat Patterson shared with labourer Oswraine Bramble, in Tottenham, London, in August last year.
Patterson was remanded on bail for sentencing on June 21.
