A PENSIONER is appealing for photographs and information on his former family home.
Wilfred Robinson, 84, lives with his wife Julie, in Lincolnshire, but is tracing his family history, which has led him to Tow Law, near Bishop Auckland.
The couple have visited the house where Mr Robinson was born, in Helmington Row, near Crook, but are interested in an Old Mill House where his grandmother died.
Mrs Robinson said: "We know his mother was born in the Mill House, in Tow Law, in 1896, and his grandmother, Hannah Colling, died there."
Anyone who can help the Robinsons with information or photographs is asked to contact them on (01507) 343456
