Police are congratulating festival-goers for their good behaviour after only 23 people out of 500,000 were arrested at the weekend's Wow event.
Now in its 15th year, the Orange Window on the World music festival, on north Tyneside, was the biggest yet.
With helicopters, mounted police, special constables and traffic wardens to back up the heavy police and steward presence, the event passed off without any major incidents.
Tyneside Chief Constable Derek Scott said: "Planning for this event began last September and we have worked throughout that time with North Tyneside Council Events Unit and other emergency services. We would like to thank the public who made the festival what it was.
