A COOL company is basking in success following its busiest spell in 50 years.
The Cleveland Refrigeration Company, at Middlesbrough's Lawson Industrial Estate, has trebled in size in less than three years, growing by 47 per cent last year.
The firm supplies, installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, predominantly for commercial customers, and has expanded into the hire of cooling equipment and the servicing of car air-conditioning systems.
It has benefited from the expansion of one of its biggest customers, Brambles Foods, which was crowned Sandwich Manufacturer of 2000-2001.
Andrew Gaffney, who bought the company in 1998 from its retiring founder, George Brown, said: "We have invested in new vehicles, equipment and advanced technology, and recruited more engineers, but the growth of our business is largely due to focusing our attention on providing a quality service for local customers."
