Willington and District League - Hunwick Club and the Willington Market stay at the top after both made odd point wins.

Hunwick had a tough task at Prospect Club, who are in equal second place, and went behind when Derek Peacock took the first point for the home side. However three in a row from Dave Thompson, Robert Todd and Ian Richardson gave the visitors victory with Prospect's Lane Sample taking the final point. Barry Greensmith put the Market ahead when they entertained the Willington Commercial but the home side were then shocked when Vaughan Raine and Michael Plaskett put the visitors ahead. Stuart Shillan pulled the Market level and then Alan McAloon took the decider to maintain their hold on a share of the top spot. The Market would have won the Captain's title had they not failed to win the Captain's game. They need one win from their last three matches, while Willington Football Club would have to win all their outstanding games to force a play-off if the Market failed to get one point.
