CIU League - Ferryhill went down to their first darts defeat of the season when they visited Crook Belle Vue and lost by two points.

This result leaves the Crook team five points clear of Cockton Hill, who beat the visiting Byers Green by four points, while Stanhope, who had a bye, are in third place seven points behind Cockton Hill.

Billy Steele of Cockton Hill proved the star of the week in the darts section when he checked out in twelve darts on 161. Paul Knighton of Crook Belle Vue hit 180 and a 141 check out, while there were maximums for Gary Galloway of Crowtrees and Ray Brown and Dave Bestford of Ferryhill.

Cockton Hill lead the pool section by five points but the second placed, unbeaten Ferryhill have two matches in hand. Crowtrees and the Prospect share third place, one point behind Ferryhill.

Crook Belle Vue are three points ahead of Crowtrees in the dominoes section but have played an extra match. Cockton Hill are two points adrift of Crowtrees again with an extra match played.

In the Captain's League Cockton Hill are four points ahead of Ferryhill, who have two games in hand, and the Victoria, who have one game in hand.
