THE body of an elderly woman has been pulled from a stream in North Yorkshire.
No details of her identity or how she may have died were being given by local police last night.
However, a spokesman confirmed they were first alerted by a passer-by at about 3pm. The Underwater Search Unit was alerted and the body recovered from the beck in Bedale at about 5.30pm.
