Kieron Dyer was today seeking showdown talks with Newcastle after the club rejected a £15 million bid from Leeds.
The England midfielder, 22, is desperate to quit the Toon side and join boss David O'Leary at Elland Road, the Daily Express said.
Dyer, who's also been targeted by Manchester United, is now set to demand a move as he fears Newcastle can't match his ambition.
Trouble blew up as the Geordies hammered Lokeren 4-0 in Belgium in their first-leg clash in the Intertoto Cup.
Shola Ameobi, 19, stepped in to put on Alan Shearer's No9 shirt - and struck a superb brace to sink the Belgians.
