THE High Sheriff of North Yorkshire is to pay a visit to Teesside to meet participants in an anti-crime project.
David Nelson will visit the Holy Trinity Anti-Crime Project, at the Pavilion, North Ormesby, on Friday.
He will experience the work of the staff and children, and go on a tour of North Ormesby.
The Holy Trinity project aims to raise awareness of good citizenship and responsible attitudes in children aged five to 12, through fun activities and play.
This year, the youngsters have been taken on a tour of a fire station, and written a puppet show, called Fires, Bags and Burglars.
The High Sheriff will arrive at the community centre, go on to Esk Street, then finish with a walking tour of North Ormesby.
He will see children developing photographs they have taken as part of a journalism project, A Day in the Life of, and end his visit at a Cloisters barbecue, where the North Ormesby Freestyle Karate Club will put on a display.
