CLEVELAND Search and Rescue was called to the aid of a rider who had been thrown from her horse.
The woman rider, from Redcar, was thrown backwards to the ground when her horse reared last Thursday afternoon in Errington Woods, Marske.
The Search and Rescue team immobilised the woman's injuries and carried her in a four-wheel drive vehicle along the forestry tracks to an ambulance. From there, she was taken to hospital.
It is the fourth time this summer that the team has been called out to incidents in the woods.
