THREE generations of one family are appearing in Northallerton Operatic Society's upcoming production of The Sound of Music.
Sara Boomsma is playing Louisa, one of the Von Trapp children, while her mother Ruth is taking on the role of Sister Margaretta and grandmother Margaret Umpleby plays Mother Abbess.
Sara's first performance with the group was in the 1998 production The King and I and this will be the first time all three have appeared together.
The show runs from Monday, October 22, to Saturday, October 27, at Hambleton Community Centre in Northallerton.
