TEN-YEAR-OLD Emily Stead from Richmond and the five-year-old Friars Santa had an unforgettable experience at the Horse of the Year show at Wembley when they finished third in the Mountain and Moorland working hunter pony final.
They qualified at the Scottish Horse Show in Edinburgh, where they won the M&M working hunter pony and the championship.
The classes are open to riders of any age, who must jump a clear round and are also judged on style and conformation.
Emily chalked up 91 points out of a possible 100 - just two and a half marks behind the winner.
This is Santa's first year in ridden classes and he has won many firsts and championships.
