FUNDRAISERS from a Darlington bank have presented more than £3,700 to the town's St Teresa's Hospice.
Staff at the Darlington HSBC branch raised the money last year with a variety of events, including market stalls, dinners and raffles.
The staff adopted the hospice as its nominated charity in April 1999 and since then, including the latest cheque of £3,706.98, have handed over more than £9,000, with the help of matched funding from the bank.
Barbara Parkin, HSBC charity coordinator, said: "We have had some great fun over the last couple of years, particularly when we set up our market stalls.
"Everyone joins in and we always get fantastic support from our customers and from the bank who make their own contribution to the money we raise."
Hospice director Jane Bradshaw said: "I am extremely pleased to accept this donation.
"It is wonderful that local workers are supporting St Teresa's Hospice in this way and we would like to thank Barbara and all of the staff for all the hard work they have put in over the last three years.
