A DARLINGTON sports club has won a substantial grant from the National Lottery Awards for All scheme.
Haughton Badminton Club has received £3,858 in the latest round of funding, which will be spent on expanding the club by attracting more members.
It intends to use the award to promote the sport to junior members and wants to encourage more women and girls to participate.
An introductory course designed for women and girls is to be held, as well as establishing a women's league and buying new equipment
