A SERIES of seminars has been organised to help voluntary workers manage their money better.
The Teesdale Village Halls Consortium has organised the free seminars to give advice and guidance to voluntary workers from village halls.
The seminars will be given by Jackie Graham, of Community Matters, at Enterprise House, Barnard Castle.
She will advise volunteers from the management committees of village halls and community centres on the best practice for handling their organisations' money.
Ms Graham said: "It is not just the job of a treasurer. Each committee member needs to understand how the organisation's money is working and how it is controlled."
The first seminar will be held on November 9, and anyone interested is advised to book a place in advance.
To book or to find out more about the seminars, contact Ann Johnstone, at the Teesdale Village Halls Consortium, on (01833) 690696.
