DARLINGTON Football Club boss George Reynolds was on hand at the weekend to mark the opening of a newly refurbished travel store.
Mr Reynolds took time out from the club's preparations for its match with Hull to open the Travelcare branch in Morrisons, Neasham Road.
It has a foreign exchange bureau so that it can provide a "one-stop" travel service for shoppers.
New booking desks have also been put in place as part of a refit, giving customers the chance to view new flat screen computers containing the latest information about holidays available.
To mark the refurbishment, the branch is offering no commission on all foreign currency exchanges until November 12.
Customers are also being invited to guess the weight of a cake in return for a donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The branch's new look is part of a £20m investment program being undertaken by the independent travel retailer across the country
