A SUPERMARKET is looking for a very old resident to help celebrate the opening of its youngest store.
Asda in Peterlee is trying to trace anyone who was born on November 12 one hundred years ago. The day marks the opening of its new multi- million pound superstore in Peterlee town centre.
Events coordinator Helen Pattison said: "We would like to celebrate the day with anyone born on that date a century ago.''
She promised: "We have got a very special surprise in mind for anyone in our region celebrating their 100th birthday on our opening day.
"We appreciate that it's not every day that someone reaches such a milestone, so we would like to hear from anyone who is close to a century old - or even older.''
Anyone who can help track down the sought-after guest of honour should contact Helen on 0191-586 6222
