Tommy Taylor has made his first signing as Darlington boss with the capture of former Torquay United midfielder Brian Healy.
The Glasgow-born schemer had a trial spell with neighbours Hartlepool earlier in the season after falling out of favour at Plainmoor and last week he saw a move to Rochdale collapse after manager Steve Parkin walked out on the club.
The 33-year-old arrives at Feethams on a non-contract basis for a month and goes straight into the squad for the visit of Oxford tomorrow.
Healy returns to the north-east having had spells earlier in his career with Gateshead and Spennymoor.
Meanwhile, Taylor's move for Hartlepool United midfielder Ian Clark still hangs in the balance with the Victoria Park club holding out for £20,000 for the 27-year-old.
