Darlington 21st Allstars - Quite a few Darlington 21st Allstars JFC teams did not have games this weekend, partly because the first Sunday in the month in the Teesside Alliance is largely restricted to League Cup games and partly because the League programme is relatively up-to-date compared with last season.

The Under-15s led the way this week with a magnificent 3-1 home League Cup win against Brinkburn Eagles who had previously remained unbeaten in 31 consecutive games. The goals that took the Under-15s through to the last eight came from Andy MacLeod, Lewis Moses and man of the match Darren Thompson.

The Under-14s travelled to North Tees Juniors in the League Cup and, despite a below-par display, ran out comfortable winners 4-2 to go through to the last 16.

The Under-11 Colts played a re-arranged home League game against Eston Athletic drawing 3-3, thus maintaining their record of only one League defeat. In what was probably the Colts' best performance of the season so far, Benn Murphy grabbed a hat-trick and Matthew Singleton was man of the match.

The Under-13 s continued their 'in-and-out' season with a 2-1 defeat in the League Cup at Hartlepool St. Francis. In a game of cut and thrust, Thomas Shann's first-half goal proved to be not quite enough. Man of the match was back-four player Michael Lunn.

At seven-a-side level, in the Teesside Alliance, the Under-10 Colts had a tremendous 4-0 League victory at Norton and Stockton Ancients, the league-leaders.
