THE theme music to the BBC's Match of the Day programme inspired a project by primary school pupils.
Children from Bowes Hutchinsons Church of England Aided School, Barnard Castle, created wooden musical moneyboxes which played the tune, when they visited Bishop Auckland College.
The 31 Key Stage two pupils used their skills in measuring, working to scale, assembly, using hand-held tools and team building.
Stacey McKitton, nine, was thrilled with the outcome. She said: "My favourite bit was cutting out the slot to put the money in.''
The college visit coincided with the Construction Industry Training Board's National Construction Week.
Teacher Alison Cooper said: "We can't offer these kinds of hands-on experiences to children at the school, and we are very grateful to the college.
"The children had a fun time learning and we got to keep the moneyboxes, too.'
