HARRY Potter fans in Darlington will now have a better chance of seeing the eagerly awaited new movie.
Early risers will be able to watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at the ABC cinema in North Road from 9am.
The cinema applied for a variation in opening hours to cater for the hundreds of fans expected to turn out to view the film.
Experts are predicting that the movie will take more at the global box office than Titanic, currently the biggest grossing film of all time.
The cinema, which usually opens at 11am, will also open at the amended time to show the new Lord of the Rings film, which opens a month after the Potter film.
The new opening times will take effect from November 16, when Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone goes on US and UK release.
