A LEISURE centre in Hartlepool will be closed this week while electrical works are carried out.
The work is the latest phase of an ongoing programme of improvements at the Mill House Leisure Centre, in Raby Road.
It follows the completion of a £52,000 package of improvements 12 months ago that included repairs to water slide supports and painting, improvements to the hot water system, and to the filtration system, tiling of parts of the pool, repairs and lining of the squash court floors, better disabled access to the pool and carpeting of the sports hall balcony.
A further improvement to facilities came in July with the relaunch of the cafeteria service after an absence of four years. The centre will be closed from today until Saturday, but the Eldon Grove Sports Centre is still open.
