TEAMS from throughout the region met at the weekend for a day of athletics action.
The Norwich Union "fun:in:athletics" festival took place at Thornaby Pavilion, Thornaby, Teesside, on Saturday.
Teams from clubs including Houghton and Peterlee, Stockton, Thornaby, Teesdale AC and Gateshead competed in a range of indoor events designed to improve all-round athletic skill.
The festival is one of a series taking place up to February, at venues around the country.
More than 200 teams of 30 under-11s are taking part in events such as standing long jump, speed bounce, vertical jump, sitting throw and obstacle relay races
