PUPILS from Corpus Christi Primary School, in Middlesbrough, will take to the stage tonight prior to a performance by two world-renowned musicians.
They will perform a musical piece at Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt at 7pm before a National Jubilee concert from Julian Lloyd Webber, Evelyn Glennie and the Northern Sinfonia.
The children have been rehearsing with Northern Sinfonia percussionist Barry Russell as part of a project by Middlesbrough Arts Development Team. Arts development officer Kerrie Marshall said: "This is a unique and very special opportunity for these young people to work and perform with the very best and, who knows, it may even inspire them to aim for musical careers."
